In the face of what most people would acknowledge are some of the most challenging times Woonsocket has
faced, City Council President Leo T. Fontaine has launched his bid to become the next Mayor of Woonsocket. Born
and raised in the city, Fontaine has served on the City Council for the last 16 years, most of those chosen
by his colleagues as President of the Council.
